Wow, I haven't updated this page in a long time! I am planning on updating the information, re-writing some parts of this page in PHP5 and adding some of my software projects.

But for now, I have posted one new thing: a patch against version 1.2.2 of the old ipw3945 linux driver for Intel 3945ABG wireless cards, which enables it to be compiled on kernels version 2.6.24 and higher. I found this patch, created by Cafer Simsek, in the archives of the Ubuntu mailing lists, where he was told that development of the ipw3945 driver was deprecated in favor of the iwlwifi drivers and that nobody would take his patch. Well, wonder of wonders, the iwlwifi drivers are still rather experimental and cause some problems (I couldn't make it work on my machine), and things like LED support still aren't even implemented. So, if you're interested in getting the older and more mature driver to compile on newer kernels, check out the "Downloads" section!

Apparently, I haven't updated anything in a long time. In keeping with tradition, I've chosen to continue not updating anything lol ;) Actually, I just haven't had the chance with school and the like. I still want to fill in the programming section eventually; and there's a lot more I'd like to do to this page once I have the time, so if you have nothing better to do than hang around my homepage, I'll try to have something for you sometime soon ;)

I now have a PGP key. If you know me and want to import it into your own keyring, you can either get it from http://pgpkeys.mit.edu/ (search either for my name or email address) or download it from:

I posted a few of the beginning exercises to "The C Programming Language," 2nd Edition under "My Programming." It's not much, and certainly won't be the last (although it will have to be all I do for a while, since I'm already falling way behind in school.)

Wow; it's been a long time since my last update. There's not a lot for me to report other than the fact that I added a new section for my programming. There isn't anything of value posted yet, but I plan to start posting projects of mine as I work my way through "The C Programming Language, 2nd Edition," a fabulous book, I must say.

Unfortunately, I haven't had the chance to do any real updates yet. I've been incredibly busy with work and school. But, in a few weeks I plan to put some new stuff up, so stay tuned!

I'm very happy to announce that as of today, this page (as well as others hosted on my server) has been placed under the control of Subversion, a revision management system similiar to CVS. It's ordinarily used by programmers, but documents, web pages and anything else that gets updated frequently can benefit from it. For more information, see: wikipedia.org

HAPPY INDEPENDENCE DAY AND GOD BLESS AMERICA!

I finally posted up all my color pinhole photography so go check it out :) I also went through and did some color corrections on everything, so it should look snappier and more vibrant than the pictures on my old homepage did.

I'm making some real progress :) I finally posted the last of my stories, and I got all my black and white photography up. My color pinholes will follow soon :) For now I'm just going ahead and using the old crappy scans, but I'll silently drop in the new ones once I have the chance.

Not too much news. Most of my work this evening was under the hood restructuring the HTML for my short stories and making the paragraphs indent.

As for the rest of the site, I know I still haven't posted any of my photography yet. I won't have a chance for a while since I'm pretty sure I'm going to re-scan everything (the scans I made of my pictures before were really crappy), so unfortunately, don't expect that for a while :( I will, however, try to get my last story, "Changing places," posted soon.

Ok, so I decided to add the indent class for paragraphs. This helps me out with the formatting a lot. This means though that I'll have to go through all my stories and indent every single paragraph (I'm also restructuring the code for my stories in a more logical and structured manner.) I've finished with Sacrifice, but I haven't done the rest yet, so if you notice that one story is indented and the others aren't, that's why ;)

I admit that I launched the new version of my homepage a bit prematurely. Currently I'm missing my photography and one of my stories. I still have it up on my old homepage which can be found at: (No Longer Hosted.) I know I probably shouldn't have made the new homepage the default until after everything was done, but I haven't had a chance to finish, won't have a chance to finish for a while (due to work and school) and I really wanted to get the new version up (I'm impatient.) Part of the haste was that I was extremely embarrassed; I had done all the HTML for my old homepage using Mozilla's graphical editor Composer, and the code it generated was atrociously bloated and unorganized. I have learned from my mistakes however, and I'm proud to say that this time everything is both written from scratch in XHTML 1.0 Strict/CSS and has been validated.

I haven't had much of a chance to work on this page lately, but I'll try to work on it if I can this weekend. I only have one more story to post, afterwhich once I get my photography up I should be done. Stay tuned :)

Seeing as how yesterday was Good Friday, I just want to say, "Thank you Jesus for dying for my sins."

I've finished up the HTML stuff for all the links on the sidebar to the left. Now, I just need to get my actual writing and photography up. I had a lot of time to work on this tonight so I had a great head start.

03-24-2005: 10:25PM PST

So far I've finished the 'About Me' section and have gotten a good head start on the 'System Specs' section. The re-write is going to take a while longer though I'm afraid :(

03-23-2005: 03:15AM PST

Welcome to the beginnings of my new homepage. Even though the layout looks almost identical to that of my previous one, I'm rewritting everything from scratch in XHTML 1.0 Strict using nothing more than a plain text editor. In doing so, I've also separated the presentational aspects of the site from the data using an external CSS sheet (Cascading Style Sheet.) This will allow me to very easily change the look and feel of my site very easily anytime I wish to do so and will make the development of my homepage much less tedious and much more flexible. Stay tuned. Please note that the links on the left sidebar don't work yet and won't be working for a while.
